Irvine has adopted district-based elections for its City Council, ensuring that each area of the city is represented by a council member residing within its geographical boundaries. This transition strengthens our local democracy by providing more direct representation and accountability. Particularly for residents in North Irvine, this change will amplify our voices and ensure that our unique needs and concerns are addressed more effectively.
District 1 includes neighborhoods of Eastwood, Northpark, Northpark Square, Northwood, Northwood Pointe, Orchard Hills, Stonegate, Stonegate East and West Irvine (partial list).
